Ideas for New Projects

The aim of this page is to provide a bulletin board of projects that have been suggested and need a Club to sponsor and manage them.

In some cases, the ideas have arisen through RAWCS contacts visiting their own project overseas, finding another suitable project but not having the resources to take on the extra one.

Where this has happened, Clubs have the opportunity to talk to RAWCS Project Managers who have seen the need first-hand and have the connections to the organisations and Rotary Clubs in the country in which the project will be delivered.

For example, the Integrated Umbrella Project for Schools Support in Nepal (ISSPN) was scoped by the Rotary Club of Mt Everest in Kathmandu, Nepal.  It was investigated and endorsed by the Rotary Club of Attadale team who visited Kathmandu in relation to their current project, ABC Nepal.

To add a project to the Ideas listing, send the details to the RAWCS Project coordinator:  projects@western.rawcs.org.au

Future listings will include suggestions from the RAWCS Liaison Officer in Timor Leste.

2.  Diaper machine for a Hospital in Barretos, Brazil
