Volunteering

Rotary International is an organisation of people who serve their communities around the world in a  range of volunteer roles.

The projects listed on this website are all being managed by members of the sponsor Rotary Clubs volunteering their time to do this important community work.

Participation by other Rotarians and by members of the public is also welcome.

A number of our projects provide opportunities for volunteers to travel to the project country and work directly on the project.
If you are interested in participating as a volunteer in a Western Region project, contact the Western Region Volunteers Coordinator Peter McKenzie on volunteers@western.rawcs.org.au  Peter will discuss your interests and put you in touch with the relevant Rotary Club(s).

Some projects need volunteer support through activities such as making dolls for children, or sorting books as part of a literacy program, or assisting in fund-raising activities to support a particular project.

If you like to sew or knit, you might like to make a doll for orphans in Africa.  You can download the pattern from the Dolls for Orphans page.

Or knit a knee rug (900mm x 900mm) for the Wheelchairs for Kids project.
For information on the project number to use when Volunteering, see Project WR103.
